Wars in our Hearts

We have faced worse wars in our Hearts
Wars of what's right and what's wrong
Ones of what's light and what's dark
What's moral and immoral

What ought to be and what is
What shouldn't be and what won't
The pleasure of evil
The pain of good

One relish immorality and risks to perish
One should savour morality and gain favor
A tough battle tis when asked to choose
Ease or pain, war or peace

We have faced worse wars in our Hearts
We know what won but rather ignore
Morality and virtue in this decadent world
That is the hardest war of all
